SMW Autoblok Group, a designer and manufacturer of premium workholding solutions for the industrial market, introduces its new MillTec circular magnetic chuck for precision five-axis machining. The company showcases MillTec in booth 1705 at .
With MillTec, the workpiece is clamped from the base without any obstacles to the tool such as brackets, making it is easier to carry out complex operations with five-sided access to the part, including complete profiling and undercut working, as well as creating through holes and pockets.
Features of the MillTec round are designed to reduce time and costs and increase cost efficiency. Users can clamp workpieces in seconds and do not have to pre-machine the workpiece. The clamping is said to be uniform on the entire contact surface, resulting in the absence of distortions and deformations.
The reduced thickness (MTG: 42 mm – MTB: 51 mm) and lightweight build facilitate the machine’s performance, improving the useful range. MillTec presents a steel frame that can be machined to create references, holes or alignment keys.
SMW Autoblok’s Mag Autoblok division includes a full line of permanent electromagnetic chucking systems for quick and flexible workholding on horizontal and vertical milling machines, vertical turning centers, FMS systems, grinding machines, EDMs and more. A full line of magnetic lifters for loading and unloading workpieces is also offered.
