Manufactured from 9310 steel, JM Performance Products’ high-torque, high-strength knobs are said to be 40-percent stronger than standard knobs. The retention knobs are designed to prevent toolholder distortion. They are longer than traditional knobs to increase durability, but share the same head dimensions. The extra length is added to the shank below the flange, and combined with a precision pilot and controlled threads, enabling stress to be distributed into a deeper cross-section of the toolholder with more resistance.
