PRAB’s heavy-duty open-frame steel belt conveyor is designed to minimize downtime and increase worker safety. According to the company, the conveyor’s open design enables operators and maintenance personnel to quickly and easily see if carry-over has fallen between the belt, and removable guard panels provide easy access to the area between the belt and bottom cover to simplify removal of scrap. The steel belt conveyor is available in 6" and 9" pitch for floor or shuttle/load-out configurations. It is well-suited to applications with significant amounts of carry-over or with scrap of sizes and shapes that can become lodged and cause unexpected downtime, such as stamping, forging, shredding, aluminum processing and die-cast scrap handling, among others.
