Ibarmia’s ZVH multiprocess traveling-column machining center is said to provide increased stability during heavy-duty cutting and high speed machining operations. According to the company, demanding workpieces with both inner and outer tooth gears can be machined in a single setup. Large horizontal and vertical axes enable machining of long and medium-volume workpieces. The machining center is capable of performing multitasking and turning operations in addition to recently added hobbing and gear-shaping capabilities. Turning by interpolation can also be accomplished without using large finish-bore tooling. Flexible modular systems are available with options including a horizontal and/or vertical rotation axis.
