Missler Software launches TopSolid’Mold 7, its CAD/CAM software for designing molds and machining tools. The software eases project management by completely integrating CAD capabilities to help manage shaped forms, engineering and machining operations in a parametric and associative way, the company says. Users can manage and link all data from product design to toolpath management with a built-in, transparent PDM solution, the company says. All modifications during the design and manufacturing process are automatically updated, supporting a calculated tracking system for all changes.
The software offers customizable standard mold bases, ejector pins and guiding. A new TopSolid’Split module is able to manage inserts from the split stage, detect parting lines automatically, and support the creation of parting surfaces and core and cavity blocks. The TopSolid’PlasticFlow system performs rheological analysis on plastic parts to optimize design. The software offers an updated ergonomic graphical interface adapted for CAD/CAM use. This upgrade is based on the Windows 7 platform and offers core video architecture improvements to the multitouch user interface extensions to existing users.
