Self-centering ID clamps from Carr Lane Manufacturing simultaneously locate and clamp from the inside of an existing hole or slot in a workpiece, leaving the entire outer surface clear for machining. The clamp’s tapered center screw is tightened with a hex wrench to push the clamping segments outward and securely hold the internal bore. The ID clamps are said to provide access to five sides without any clamp interference for multiple-part machining on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Seven sizes are available.
