Pro-Face America’s Pro-Face Connect is a ready-to-use embedded human-machine interface (HMI) service that enables customers to access machines remotely and securely.
Most of the company’s current HMIs and iPCs are compatible with the service. Users can access their machines remotely to program, troubleshoot and maintain performance. Its configuration is based on HMI panels and software, and it does not require extra hardware or accessories. A manager license is available, which enables customers to manage other devices connected to the HMI, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The service is activated through an online upgrade.
The company follows a secure development lifecycle process, which includes penetration tests, threat model analysis and requirements from the cybersecurity committee of Schneider Electric, Pro-Face’s parent company. This process helps ensure that the service complies with industry standards for security, making it suitable for managing multiple machines at multiple locations.
