Toyoda’s FH630SX-i high-speed HMC has been added to the company’s SX-i series of machines. The HMC features a 6K-CTS gear head spindle; 60-tool magazine capacity; NC table with full-plate contact clamping design for a strong, accurate cut through the Y axis; and the company’s new HMI control, Toyopuc Touch.
According to the company, the machine is built to minimize displacement caused by external forces that may impact cutting accuracy and tool life. The FH630SX-i’s spindle is paired with robust linear guideways to promote rigidity during machining. Similarly, the 37/30 kW spindle features a double row of cylindrical roller bearings located over the taper, providing radial rigidity. Dual angular bearings are designed to increase axial stability.
The Toyopuc Touch HMI control features a 19" touch screen display designed to appear and function like the touch screen of a mobile device. The control keeps track of information such as machine energy usage, productivity and tool life, and can be used to generate performance reports. The control uses inspection notifications to inform operators of preventive maintenance. Third party device monitoring capability enables operators to access the machine remotely and promote an efficient machining process.
