ECI Software Solutions provides two add-on solutions for its manufacturing ERP products — ECI Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ECI Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS).
ECI MES enables manufacturers to digitize their shop floor with support for over 140 PLC/IO devices, providing real-time visibility into machine performance. With built-in analytics, manufacturers can identify inefficiencies and optimize production. Smarter scheduling tools account for machine, tooling and personnel constraints, while integrated alerts, messaging and document management help streamline workflows, reduce downtime and improve on-time delivery.
ECI MES gives machinists real-time visibility into production, enabling quick adjustments to address inefficiencies or delays. Automated data collection eliminates manual tracking errors, while tools like “what-if” scenario analysis and proactive alerts help anticipate issues before they disrupt workflow. This supports better material usage, minimizes downtime and keeps production on schedule.
ECI APS extends MES capabilities by providing flexible scheduling for both short- and long-term production needs. It accounts for multiple resource constraints, integrates live progress updates from equipment and adapts to real-time shop floor changes. This enables shops to plan weeks ahead while maintaining the ability to adjust as conditions shift.
The AI BOM Builder in JobBOSS² automates bill of materials creation by extracting data from PDFs, CAD files, images and spreadsheets, reducing manual entry and minimizing errors. The integration of ECI APS ensures material availability is considered in scheduling, helping manufacturers avoid bottlenecks. Within ECI MES, this supports real-time tracking of materials and components, improving workflow visibility.
