Walter USA has added the WPP01 and WPP05 to its range of Tiger-tec cutting materials for turning steel. The line now accommodates steel turning requirements from roughing, to medium machining operations, to fine finishing.
The WPP01 grade provides a solution for productive finishing work, while the WPP05 grade is suited for medium machining operations and roughing. This grade is effective at top cutting speeds and stock removal rates under good conditions. With its ability to work with minimal machining time requirements, the grade is suited for the automotive engineering sector.
Two typical machining scenarios for these tools include machining parameters that require near net shape components or machining forgings with allowances ranging from 0.030" to 0.160".
