Fuji’s CSD-300 parallel-spindle lathe is designed to maximize material handling from a compact footprint. To secure parts with diameters measuring 200 × 100 mm and weighing 5kg + 5kg, the lathe features a hydraulic clamping loader and 8" to 10" capacity workholding chucks. A hardened boxway slide and a 2,260-mm-wide machine base enable heavy cutting capabilities.
The lathe is designed for quick and accurate turning of a variety of parts. The turret achieves speeds of 0.26 sec. per index, while dual, 100-mm-diameter spindles (A2-6) are equipped with 15/20-hp high output spindle motors. Robot alignment to spindle center line is achieved with the three-axis gantry robot control.
An auto shut-off LED light saves energy. According to the company, user-friendly features include a rear or side-positioned (optional) discharge chip conveyor, and maintenance items are all located in one section on the machine.
