Although Enshu USA’s compact GE40H HMC is designed for secondary operations and die cast processing, its ram-type 33.5-hp, 12,000-rpm, Big Plus/CAT40 taper spindle has enough power to take on jobs usually done on much larger machines.
The 500-mm (19.7") axis travels (X, Y, Z, B) provide the flexibility necessary for small to mid-size parts machining. Features include a FANUC 31iMB Control, 400-mm pallets, a rotary automatic pallet changer and a 40-tool capacity magazine.
With dimensions of 180" × 112" × 139", the HMC is said to be useful for shops with limited floor space, whether as a standalone machine or in a line-production environment.
