Murata Machinery’s MW120GTEX twin-spindle CNC lathe is said to provide high-precision processing and rigidity within a compact space. The lathe, a redesign of Murata’s MW120GT twin-spindle CNC turning center, features a high-accuracy spindle to meet tight tolerance requirements. The Z-axis ballscrew is centered to improve accuracy, while an X-axis box guideway provides additional rigidity. The machine’s two-piece turret coupling also promotes accuracy. Twin independent gantries enable rapid throughput for higher productivity, the company says.
