Mazak will showcase its Quick Turn Universal (QTU) 250MSY turning center designed for shops focused on small parts production. The turning center has a milling turret with a rotary tool spindle to perform multitasking operations, a second turning spindle for “done-in-one” part production and Y-axis functionality for off-centerline machining. Other features include an integral spindle/motor headstock that provides high power and accuracy during heavy cutting operations as well as a servo-driven turret design that offers multiple tool configurations, the company says. The turning center, which can be integrated with automation equipment, will be paired with a bar feeder at the show.
