Version 7.2 of CGTech’s Vericut CNC machine simulation and optimization software features enhancements designed to improve speed and reduce the time it takes manufacturers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process. Additions to the user interface simplify the most common user actions, the company says. Multiple processors and background processing to increase speed. Users do not need to manually prove-out NC programs. The software optimizes the programs from saved simulations to save time and produce a higher-quality surface finish. Users can adjust and re-optimize the simulation without rerunning. An interactive panel displays cutting conditions immediately from anywhere in the machining process. The user can navigate the NC program to evaluate cutting conditions and quickly see the results of adjustments.
The software simulates a variety of CNC machine tools, including those from manufacturers such as Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DMG, DIXI and Chiron. It runs standalone and also can be integrated with CAM systems such as Catia, NX, Creo Parametric (Pro/E), MasterCAM, EdgeCAM, hyperMill, Esprit and GibbsCAM.
Also on display are Vericut Composite Applications. These machine-independent, offline programming and simulation software solutions are designed for automated composite tape and fiber-placement CNC machines. There are two separate applications: Vericut Composite Programming (VCP) and Vericut Composite Simulation (VCS).
