The KADP cable entry system by Mencom is designed to offer fast assembly when inserting and sealing cables for enclosures, machines and junction boxes. Standard cables with diameters ranging from 1.5 to 20 mm are pushed into the control cabinets, panels or machines through a pre-punched membrane and sealed with an IP66 rating.
The frame of the cable entry plate is made of a hard plastic molded with industry-grade elastomer, providing quick, tool-free installation by snapping into a rectangular opening, says the company. The KADP series fits into a standard cutout for the size of 24-pin industrial multi-pole connectors (11 × 36 mm) and can be mounted on walls ranging from 1.5 to 2 mm thick. The cable entry plate can be attached with M5 screws for walls greater than 2 mm thick. The system is applicable in mechanical and plant engineering; measuring and control technology; drive engineering; mobile studio and lighting technology; wind power and solar energy technology; and electrical installation applications.
