The redesigned Benz LinA 4.0 broaching unit is lighter and more rigid than its previous version. It is said to be capable of as many as 1,500 strokes per minute. Fine-tunable and equipped with a standard gear ratio of 2-to-1, this unit minimizes or eliminates vibration, improving the life of the cutter, according to the company. Internal coolant can be provided through the plunger, while improved materials are said to protect against leaks.
Also available on the unit is the Benz i.com application to gather performance data.
