Rego-Fix has named Sherman D’Souza as its global aerospace specialist, an appointment that will enable the company to better serve the aerospace, defense and space industries.
D’Souza will provide global customers with access to Rego-Fix research, development and technical support teams to create and supply toolholding solutions to meet the evolving demands of the aerospace industry.
D’Souza’s has over 10 years of international engineering, design and manufacturing production experience in aerospace and new energy. A Missouri University of Science and Technology graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering, D’Souza has held senior technical team lead and project manager positions, where he developed and qualified new equipment, tools and processes. His expertise also includes experience at the enterprise level on machine accuracy, uptime and enhancement of operations workflow.
He has reportedly worked with multidisciplinary teams to reduce tooling costs and planned aerospace manufacturing processes, including building layout, capacity charts and high-level implementation. As a reliability and manufacturing research and development engineer, D’Souza evaluated overall equipment effectiveness to find opportunities to improve machine performance.
