Mazak Corp. has named Jim Rutan General Manager for the Northeast region of the United States. Formerly manager of the Mazak Sales Office in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mr. Rutan will now work to ensure that customers throughout the Northeast receive sales, service and applications support to assist them as they compete in what Mazak calls a booming regional manufacturing market.
The Northeast region, comprised of the eastern halves of New York and Pennsylvania as well as New England, has been identified by Mazak North America President Daniel Janka as a crucial target for future growth. As the general manager, Mr. Rutan is responsible for Mazak’s sales and profitability across the region, working alongside the service and applications managers.
“Jim has been an asset for Mazak in Allentown,” says Mr. Janka, “and we expect he will be an even greater asset managing the company’s service, applications and sales teams throughout the Northeast, while working to support the customers and distributors who are making the region one of America’s most dynamic manufacturing markets.”
Mr. Rutan will also manage the Northeast Technology Center, one of Mazak’s eight North American technology centers. The center provides particular expertise in regional industries that include medical and aerospace.
