Okamoto’s ACC-818NC, a full-function, two-axis simultaneous CNC form grinder ideal for surface, slot, step, form and contour grinding, is now available with a ballscrew table drive enabling precise positioning. The machine can grind cylindrical components such as pins and punches and mold components such as core pins. United Grinding’s Studer S131R, a radius internal cylindrical grinding machine, is well-suited for making dies out of hard materials such as tungsten carbide and ceramics. The machine enables shops to generate diameters, cones and transitional radii with polished surface quality through B- and X/Z-axis interpolation. The machine is also useful for general grinding applications involving hardened steel, cast iron and copper. These 2" to 4" diameter wheels are designed for long life and fast cutting. The 38-item expansion provides end users in the metal fabrication and ship building industry with increasing levels of cutting performance to choose from. The C-Prime discs have strong polyester backing for aggressive grinding applications that do not require excessive flexibility. The C-Prime Plus features a poly-cotton backing with high-quality ceramic grain, which provides more stretch and flexibility, while adding enough strength to maximize the cutting of the ceramic grain.
