Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s FX3S micro programmable logic controller (PLC) is designed for entry-level accessibility. The controller is said to provide flexibility through expansion options while enabling users to choose only the functionality necessary to perform a specific application for hardware cost savings. The PLC is well-suited for small, standalone control tasks, including simple positioning, analog and temperature control operations. Applications include food and beverage processes, material handling, fan and pump applications, and building automation.
The micro PLC provides full-function PLC control with built-in high speed inputs and outputs, available relay outputs, and multiple built-in communication ports. The controller can use many of the existing programming resources for the FX3 series to save system setup time. Communication options are available for RS-232, RS-485, Modbus and Ethernet.
